Bridget’s unique maps capture the essence of a time, place and people. Exploring personal journeys and recollections woven together with stitch and fabric.
The pieces are created to commission and involve the deep exploration of memories, geographical information and historical research in order to craft the rich, silk roads.
Bridget learnt to sew as a child absorbing her mother’s love of fabric and thread. This love has remained with her and life now has afforded the opportunity to bring into being these beautiful maps.
